Sort and organize all receipts, invoices, statements, remittances, etc.

Reconcile your chequebook and bank statements, identify errors and specific sources of adjustments, inform you of these adjustments and request that you make correcting entries directly into your chequebook.

Reconcile your credit card statements.

Enter all transactions into the industry award-winning professional accounting program, XERO.

Record all income and expenses, deposits and adjusting entries needed for that month.

Monthly or quarterly, we will prepare your HST returns.

Provide monthly or quarterly reports, depending on your needs, so you know how your business is doing at any given time.

Compile a year-end file for your accountant in a format that will result in minimal adjusting journal entries and has all the information that they would require to complete their engagement in a timely manner.

Are there any hidden fees?

No there are no hidden fees. We offer flat-rate, monthly bookkeeping rates so you'll never be surprised by an invoice. If your business grows and you outgrow your monthly package, we will send you a quote and a 30-day notice of a price increase.
Where are your prices?

Each package is based on your business needs so we can provide a package after we have had a conversation with you.

Packages can start at $200/month for very small businesses to $450/month for complex businesses.

Pricing depends on a variety of factors. Let's have a conversation.
What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept automatic deposit which is set-up at the beginning of our relationship.
Have you worked with my type of business?

Our team has a range of experience that includes restaurants, web designers, doctors, contractors, hair salons, and many many more. We know the proper account setup and we work closely with your accountant.
Do you work with businesses outside of Canada?

We only work with businesses in Canada and predominately within Ontario and Manitoba.
Are your prices in Canadian dollars?

Yes, we work in Canadian dollars.
How long has Payroll Xpress being in business?

2019 is our 20th anniversary year and if you want to meet your team of payroll clerks and bookkeepers, please visit the About us page. Many of us have close to 20 years experience.
What is your hourly rate for bookkeeping?

We provide a flat-rate monthly rate after discussing your business and your service needs.

Other bookkeepers charge by the hour but that means you never know how much you will pay and you can get stung with unexpected invoices.

We never want that to happen when you work with us which is why we have transparent pricing.

We also want you to call us if you need help. Clients paying by the hour often avoid making calls for fear that they will literally 'pay for it'.
Do you answer your phone? Or will I get voicemail?

Absolutely. We know you are busy and need things taken care of right away -- and off your to-do list.

You can count on us to answer your phone call.

There is no need to book an appointment, or be worried about getting invoiced for asking a question. We want you to call.
Why don't people hire bookkeepers?

What problems can occur when the books by a 'backyard bookkeeper'?
- They run into trouble with double entry bookkeeping

- They think everything is an expense but sometimes it is not (this causes grey areas and possible red flags for an audit)
Is Payroll Xpress good at clean up work?

We do a lot of clean-up work when other bookkeepers, or business owners, get behind. We are quick and efficient.
How can I lower my monthly bookkeeping rate?

Ask us about connecting your accounts to Hubdoc so more of the bookkeeping process can be automated.

Also, sending in your receipts through Hubdoc and using Xero for invoicing will help reduce your monthly rate.
